How does one kill another with full life with one saber throw? This happened to me today, didn't think it was possible.
I was fighting Brian alone and somehow this guy just did not die. He had less than a third health left and he throws his saber at me and I throw mine at him and it hits him, there was a sound but this guy did not die. He couldn't have blocked it because he threw his sword at me and he did not have it back yet.
I've killed him before alone, regardless if it took one life or five. Whatever he was doing this time was complete BS and I'm gonna call him out on it.
Also, how are some people able to jump out of an attack after I land directly on top of them? These same people have the same characteristics usually, such as not getting stunned or not getting killed when getting hit with a combo by Luke or Ki Adi Mundi, or that they are able to run out of an attack as you're hitting them with it.

they guy who threw the saber probably had damage increase, usually a saber throw does 1/3 per hit. but with the increase it does half, so his saber hits you and as it comes back to him it hits you again. 1/2 +1/2 =1 full bar of health.
as for you not killing him when you saw the saber hit him, it could have been lag. you'll see sparks but they don't take damage, it just happens sometimes.
sometimes you can squeeze in a block while being comboed

If you jump at the beginning of Luke's combo you can get out...

there are a ton of different tricks that are in this game that were never "really" supposed to be there in the first place. As far as the saber throw is concerned, most likely it is what alex said. As far as you not getting damage from your saber throw?...lag...I've had guys go through entire cobos and such, without taking damage, only to turn around, push and i'm dead, all on account of lag. Even if it wasnt lag, that brings us back to the original part, where he probably had damage increase. What no one else failed to remember here, is that when you have damage increase, you also have regen, so all in all you will take less damage as well. so even if it did hit him, there is the possibility that it just may not have been enough either. ppl jumping out of an attack as soon as you land on them?...all comes down to two things. 1. lag 2. character being used. In the case of the latter, this game is unique, in that every character is slightly different in one way or anther that gives each his or her own weaknesses and advantages. That being said, every characters timing has to be slightly different for it to have the right effect. For example, a luke one hit arial, will only work if timed to hit on the last stroke down on top of the person(as you notice your visual that you actually see has multiple strikes). And obi wans one hit arial has to be timed just correctly otherwise it will not one hit, which is why you see a lot of ppl backslash as a precautionary measure after doing the one hit wiith obi. A great example of this theory in action is yoda. I'll bet that you did not realise that yoda atually has an arial that will take the majority of the persons health down. most ppl attempt the arial with yoda, and think they actually hit the enemy beccause they get the spark animation of a hit, but if you look back, the person took no damage. This is an example where it has to be timed exactly perfect for it to work. I myself have only landed the yoda arial about twice that I am aware of. There are also certain parts of certain characters combos that you can break out of them if timed just right, as demonstrated with the luke example from a previous post. This game basically comes down to two things in summary, how much lag you have, and how good your timing/skill level is. And on a final note, Brian also seems to have a ridiculously good connection, so that certainly does not help it the lag area of the playing field. Overlord is over and out....layta bitches!
