he never weakened him, Mephiles was already weakened for 2 reasons
1. he was just brought to life like 2 mins beforehand 2. he didnt really have much of a form to fight him off with lol
but really Mephiles did win, the only reason he ''lost'' was because it was a video game where ''good always wins'' when infact in reality, good does NOT always win
if it wasnt a game Mephiles would have won already being in god form and ready and willing to tear time and space apart as shown below

there cant be a sequel unfortunatly... the way the game ends where they blow out The Flame of Solaris turns back time so Iblis and Mephiles were never created, meaning there would be a plot hole if he didnt come back
the writers are such dumbasses putting characters with such potential as Mephiles and then destroying him after ONE game/show

ya never know cause they could make like a little thing like " the untold story" or since Mephiles is so powerful and a god he comes back by himself and trys to destroy everything once again and this happens again...... There could always be something like that for any game; lol just look at Halo 3 and Kingdom Hearts both very good games and both have little games coming out for the untold stories and stuff.
