There is mods in which reduce blockwhoring, They just were not mentioned probably due to being in the abyss for a few weeks.

Energy for all block costs 20 energy per second, up from 10.
The only exception to this is Maul, Vader, and Dooku(due to their perfect block and block being weak already.)

The energy cost of the block and a description has been included in the Mod Notes forum, on the character sheet post made by Sinister so this won't go unnoticed by anyone else.
